Definition
An instrument consisting of two hexagonal, metal or wooden casings joined together by an extendable leather bellows. Both casings are equipped with a series of reed blocks operated by a set of buttons and held by hand and thumb straps. Used to produce sounds and chords by expanding and compressing the bellows and by depressing the stops, thereby pushing air over the free reeds and causing them to vibrate.
