Definition
A metal instrument consisting of a flexible tongue fixed at one end to the center of a round, oval or clover-shaped frame with a pair of parallel rods extending from the open end. Used to produce sounds by plucking the tongue, thereby causing the air in the buccal cavity to resonate via sympathetic vibration.
