Definition
An apparatus consisting of a wire hook or loop suspended from a metal knob or stub turned by a clockwork mechanism encased in a metal cylinder or framework extending from a rod with a hanging loop on the end. Often equipped with a meat hook, used to rotate one or more pieces of meat over a fire.
