Definition
An instrument consisting of a cylindrical bore, generally made of wood, with a series of side holes covered with several moveable metal keys; a mouthpiece fitted with a single reed at one end and a funnel-shaped bell at the other end. Used to produce sounds by blowing air through the reed, thereby causing it to vibrate.
