Definition
A rectangular slab of white rubber, measuring 6 inches (15 centimeters) by 2 feet (61 centimeters) across, with metallic stakes fixed to the base and placed in the field in the center of the pitcher's mound. Set solidly into ground and used by the baseball pitcher, to mark where they must stand to throw the ball.
