Definition
A telephone with an opaque or transparent disc, the rotary dial, with 10 finger holes, numbers from 0 to 9, and sometimes letters, are printed on the faceplate and with a finger stop on top of the dial. Use for dialling a telephone number by inserting a finger into the corresponding finger hole and rotating the dial clockwise until it reaches the finger stop.
