Definition
A long strip of cloth that is usually bi-fold, with the ends fanning out and is decorated with a fringe and a cross. It often has a tab on top (for hanging up when not in use) and a tab in the middle (to prevent it from slipping off the arm). Worn by the members of the Christian clergy on the left forearm during the celebration of the Eucharist. It usually matches a stole worn at the same time.
