- A small device representing an animal, made of wood, metal or plastic, constructed to appear its operating on his own power, containing a mechanism that produce specific actions in sequential order, usually powered by an elastic band, a spring or a flywheel. Used by children for entertainment. Also used to teach young children motor skills.
