- Definition
- A usually metal or tin plated wall support with a mounting hole pierced in the back. Simple varieties generally consist of a reflective, parabolic back supported on a usually semicircular, rimmed base with a candle socket and sometimes a glass globe. More elaborate types generally consist of one or more decorative arms fitted with candle sockets and mounted on an ornamental wall bracket or mirror. Used to hold a candle or a lamp on a wall for interior illumination.
