Definition
A cord, ribbon, or tube of twisted, woven, or braided cotton or hemp threads, which is encased or dipped in flammable fuel. Used to provide a longer-lasting flame in a candle, a lamp, or the like, by drawing up fuel which is vaporised and burned at its upper end.
