Definition
A soft-soled shoe made by shaping a single piece of leather or hide around the foot and sewing it on top in various ways. It is usually decorated with various painted or beaded motifs or fringes and may have a lacing to fasten at the ankle. Used by the North American Indigenous people to protect the foot and the ankle.
