Definition
A cloth band with two cups and, usually, shoulder straps. Typically fastened at the back or at the front by means of one or more hooks or ribbons. It may consist of the following: padding; light metal, bone, or plastic supports; elastic materials; and buckles to adjust the length of the shoulder straps. Used to support the bust and sometimes to give it an enhanced shape.
