Definition
A machine consisting of a circular, abrasive stone mounted, equipped with a hand crank, on a rectangular wooden stand equipped with a hand crank, a rim, on four legs, and driven by a treadle mechanism. Used to sharpen tools or shape and polish pieces of metal through the revolving movement of the stone.
