Definition
A rug made of animal skin, such as bear or goat, which may have a felt or woven fabric backing and a decorative, often pinkfelt trim. It may follow the shape of the animal or may be cut into more traditional shapes, such as a rectangle or oval. Used to cover and decorate the floor, and to provide warmth and comfort in small areas of the floor, such as in the front of a fireplace, by a bedside.
