Definition
An instrument consisting of a rectangular wooden resonating case, a crank-handle operated bellows, a series of pneumatic tubes fitted with free reeds and a pin-hole music roll. Sometimes has a carrying shoulder belt or wheels. Used to produce musical sounds and chords by expanding and compressing the bellows, thereby pushing air over the unobstructed reeds and causing them to vibrate.
