Definition
An instrument consisting of a straight, conical brass or copper tube, equipped with a mouthpiece at one end and a funnel-shaped bell at the other. Used to produce a sound via sympathetic vibration of the air in the mouthpiece in order to announce the arrival of the stage coach.
