Definition
A tool consisting of a trapezoid, flat or concave rectangular blade, tapering to a straight or rounded tip and attached to a wooden handle, often equipped with a hand grip. Used to dig deep, narrow trenches to install drainage tiles, pipes and other underground utilities.
