Definition
A flat-bottomed, often cylindrical metal receptacle or one consisting of wooden staves tightly bound with metal hoops around a plank bottom, and sometimes equipped with a spout and a handle or hook. Hung on a sap spout, used to collect and carry sugar maple sap.
