Definition
A metal tool consisting of a shaft with several notches along both sides, beginning midway and ending with a head with a rounded tip with one notch on either side of it. The handle may sometimes be raised perpendicularly to the shaft and have a hook or a loop at the end for hanging. Used for removing slate and prying up nails from roofs.
